Decolorant This must be one of the best on the market – not only is it excellent quality but the price must be almost unbeatable! It comes in a litre bottle of concentrate which makes 10 litres – or we can supply it ready-to-use in one litre or five litre containers.

Dye, Blue Blocker This dye cuts out all UV and blue light upto 550nm – particularly useful for contact lens wearers, or anyone else suffering from photophobia, including patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa. It also makes an excellent sunglass tint.

Dye, Optisafe Packet These high quality dyes are very fast and extremely long-lasting so are excellent value for money. They are environmentally friendly and do not constitute hazardous waste. Tired of dealing with messy bottles of tint? Packet dyes are quicker to install - simply add the tea-bag type packet to near-boiling water and stir. Because the chemical reaction does not start until it is mixed with water, colours are more consistent than with liquid dyes and they last longer in the tank. Each packet makes one full litre of dye. The molecular composition allows for rapid penetration of the lens surface making for successful tinting of CR39, Polycarbonate and high index.

Dye, Red Remover You won’t need this very often but occasionally, if dyes become too red as the pigment gets used up, adding Red Remover will restore your dye to the correct colour.

Dye, UV One litre of top quality UV dye at a very attractive price. It absorbs 98 – 99% of all UV upto 400nm and is completely compatible with AR coating – i.e. if lenses are AR coated after correctly treating with Optisafe, they will remain colourless. Lenses only need to be immersed for 5 minutes. A bottle will treat 500+ lenses. Optisafe is long-lasting, biodegradable and environmentally friendly. The same UV is also available in a packet for extra value for money. One packet will treat 200+ lenses to 400 nm and will last the full life of the prescription. If you want a very quick UV, try our One-Minute UV. Ideal if you want to add a very pale tint afterwards to give full UV protection, but not designed to be suitable for AR coating.

Heat Transfer Oil For use in your tint bath. Very attractive price for 5 litres of quality oil which holds the temperature well and does not smell.

Lens Prep (Pre Tint) Excellent value for money. It is a concentrate which you add to water, so a half-litre bottle will make you 9 litres of Pre-Tint. It has first class detergent and wetting characteristics, is low-foaming, anti-static and does not ionise or form salts. Also available in a ready-to-use 1 litre bottle.

Multi-Purpose Formula Do your dyes evaporate too quickly? Smell too strong? Just add a drop or two to each tint beaker and it acts as a chemical lid – traps odour inside and stops the dyes evaporating. It also keeps the heat in which means that lenses tint faster. Depending on the dyes you are using it can help produce better quality dyes and save on electricity. Very long lasting - you use just 1/3 capful each time.

Polycarbonate Decolorant Tinted polycarb is notoriously difficult to bleach out without removing the hardcoat. This water-based decolorant will save your lenses! Virtually odourless, it can be topped up with water as it evaporates.

Spot Free Add one capful to a litre of Optisafe dye and it will minimise blotches and white spots. When a particular lens is giving you trouble, this can really save time and frustration. Environmentally safe and non-flammable, 8 fl oz bottle.
